Berkeley County has long been recognized as a Sportsman's Paradise. The area abounds in clear streams, creeks, and rivers running with fish. Wildlife is abundant in the forest, fields, swamps and marshes. Information about
hunting licenses and permits is available locally from bait, tackle, and hunting supply shops. Hunting for deer, wild turkey and wild ducks is also a tradition in Berkeley County. Domestic quail farms offer hunters an opportunity to try this small fowl.
