| Taveau Church was built around 1835 as
a Presbtyerian Church by Martha Caroline Swinton. The beautiful country church was built of simple style common to the first half of the nineteenth century. This church was entered into the National Register of Historic Places in February 14, 1978. The church most recently served as the Cordesville United Methodist Church. Taveau Church is located on the east side of Highway 44 just off of SC Highway 402 in Cordesville, SC.
