Duck Pond / Lake Moultrie

Directions
From Hwy. 52 in Moncks Corner, turn left onto Main St. Hwy.6 and travel 12.5 miles. Bear right at the intersection of Hwy. 311 & 6. Proceed one mile on Hwy. 6, then turn right on Boat Landing Way, immediately after you pass Wildlife Action (on right). Road will lead directly to the boat landing.

Description
Paddle left as you launch. Move to the shoreline toward the right until you reach the entrance of the Duck Pond on your right. Once in Duck Pond you may follow the perimeter of the pond and eventually you may re-enter the lake. Following the shoreline, you can continue past the launch entrance and reach a cove on the left. There are numerous osprey nests along this paddle and sandy beaches to stopand rest. Paddles during the work week will help you avoid boat traffic. Lake levels during parts of the year will alter the places you can paddle on this trip. Best water level will be when lake is at a full pool of 75.5 ft.
